County League/Knockout 2010
Entries are now being accepted for these events. This year, we are attempting a fourth league, aimed at those players who fancy dabbling in a bit of competitive bridge but in a friendly and no-fear environment. Entry to league IV is FREE.
League IV
This is new to 2010-11 and is specifically aimed at players who fancy playing a bit of competitive county bridge in a no fear environment against similar teams. The following rules apply:
- o Entry is FREE.
- o Teams may contain 4-6 players and veteran teams are not allowed to play.
- o Each match consists of 20 boards (played in 2x10 board stanzas, captains toss for initial seating rights and there is a compulsory switch at half-time).
- o An attempt will be made to limit the number of matches played, based on entry.
Please note: The closing date for leagues I, II and III and the knockout/knockout plate is 20th August 2010. The closing date for league IV is 30th September 2010.
